ISO 22000: 2018 published
The ISO 22000 Food Safety Management
System-Requirements and Guidelines for Food Safety Management System
Certification Standard was revised and published in June 2018.
ISO 22000: 2005 has been revised and
updated, and the transition period to the revised published ISO 22000: 2018
standard is 3 years.
In order to be approved as an organization
capable of performing certification audit, the SPEC completed the audit on June
13, and the approval was passed on July 16.
-To support the risk-based integrated
management system, the requirements for ISO management system standards,
including the basic structure of the standard, common key phrases and common
terms, are accepted.
-Reorganized requirements to enable a
logical approach for design and execution of integrated FSMS
-Introduction of the concept of process
approach and material risk factors
-More clear description of critical
control points, operational prerequisite programs and prerequisite programs
-Business Risk and Opportunity and HACCP's
second-stage risk-based mindset
-2nd stage PDCA approach of organization
and operation
-Review and improvement of term definition
After the expiration date on June 29, 2021,
all ISO 22000: 2005 certifications will be null and void.
ISO 22000:2015 must not be audited
(including initial, follow-up, and renewal) after July 2020. From July onwards,
ISO 22000:2018 audits should be planned.
In addition, all transitions to ISO
22000:2018 will be completed by April 31, 2021.
